The Health and Safety of our guests, family and staff is a priority at Mercury Ridge.


All of our cleaning team, suppliers and staff ensure that rigorous Covid-19 systems are in place to clean and sanitise our lodge to the highest standards.


We have always met or exceeded the NZ government, Ministry of Health (NZ), and the World Health Organisation (WHO) recommendations for safety policies in place to minimise the spread of Covid-19, including contact tracing, personal hygiene (including proper handwashing and/or use of alcohol-based hand sanitisers), mask-wearing, social distancing, and robust cleaning and sterilisation practices. Mercury Ridge is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected using high-grade cleaning products.

Covid-19 Cancellations

We are offering flexible booking arrangements during these uncertain times.  Anyone who has booked direct with Mercury Ridge will be able to move their booking to a later date without penalty should Government COVID 19 travel restrictions apply. This means there will be no change fees* for guests who book with us direct through our website and need to cancel due to Government COVID 19 travel restrictions. *Seasonal rate differences may apply if you wish to rebook in a different season.

Note this only applies to cancellations made as a result of COVID 19 travel restrictions and/or lockdown levels in New Zealand.
